Irene P. Makiaris is now Chairman; John D. Scully named President
[Middletown, Conn., January, 2012] – Twenty-five years ago, Irene Makiaris founded a company in Bloomfield, Conn. that would craft thoughtful, effective media programs to reach clients’ customers, advocates and prospects through radio, TV, outdoor, print and promotional campaigns.
This month, the company, now based in Middletown, Conn., celebrates a quarter decade of growth with its loyal clients and dedicated employees. With a team of 15 seasoned media strategists and planners, Makiaris Media is the largest media buying service between New York and Boston, developing and executing integrated media programs.
While the array of available media options has exploded to include digital advertising, online publications and social media platforms, moving displays, mobile devices and search engine marketing, the company has continued to focus on effective listening, insightful planning and productive relationships with its media partners.
Building the company’s leadership for another 25 years of growth, Makiaris has assumed the position of Chairman of the Board and will continue to be actively involved in the business. Director of Media Services John D. Scully, who joined the company in 1989, has been appointed President.
