NEW HAVEN: The board of The Towers has appointed Gus Keach as the new President/CEO of The Towers.
Keach has more than 40 years in the senior living industry in Connectciut, recently he was the Vice President, Senior Services at Community Renewal Team in Hartford.
According to the job posting for CEO “The mission of the Towers is to provide senior citizens of varying means with high quality living arrangements and services based upon Jewish values and traditions.”
Tower One, designed by renowned architect Charles Moore, opened for occupancy in 1971. Tower East opened for occupancy in 1982, and together the adjoining Towers offer 336 apartments on an urban campus. The Towers is a HUD (Housing and Urban Development) subsidized senior living community providing affordable independent housing for the elderly. Affordable assisted living services are available and supported through various State of Connecticut programs.
According to a release from the Towers, Keach “has taken a lead role in the development of new initiatives for senior services programs, led the design and implementation of strategic plans, worked with architects and contractors to help design assisted living facilities and also teaches a human services course at Tunxis Community College.
lifelong resident of Connecticut, Keach is experienced in working with local and state government officials and has a proven track record in reaching goals and achieving results.”
Keach takes over from interim CEO and COO Jackie Curl. The non-profit had posted the job in May with a salary range of $120-$170,000 per year
