EAST HARTFORD — Pratt & Whitney’s Turkish Engine Center recently delivered its 100th overhauled CFM56 jet engine to Turkish Airlines.
The engine center is a joint venture between Pratt & Whitney (PW) and Turkish Technic, a division of Turkish Airlines.
The facility was opened in 2010 and is PW’s first in Turkey, established to reduce engine overhaul costs and turnaround times. Turkish Airlines is Turkey’s first commercial airline with a fleet of 181 aircraft that service more than 200 destinations.
