MILFORD — Retail chain Dollar Tree Stores Inc. has signed a ten-year lease for a 9,000-square-foot anchor space at Milford Plaza on Cherry Street. The transaction marks the first step by shopping center owner Stonemar Properties of New York to lease the 28,264 square feet of vacant space that existed at the 181,000-square-foot, 52-year-old Milford Plaza upon acquisition. Stonemar, which purchased the property in November 2008, is actively marketing the remaining 19,264 square feet of space, which the company says would be suitable for a “junior” anchor or two 9,000- to 10,000-square-foot users.
Dollar Tree occupies 9,000 square feet of the 28,264-square-foot space that was formerly occupied by Brooks Pharmacy, which was vacant when Stonemar purchased the property last year. The space adjacent to Jani Restaurant.
