Software Firm Earns SBIR Award

E-mail Print PDF

NEW HAVEN — Prometheus Research, a developer of Web-enabled database software for business and biomedical researchers, has received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the state of Connecticut. Gov. M. Jodi Rell said Prometheus was cited for its contributions to technology-based research and development, as well as its “dedication and commitment to excellence in technology innovation as a small business.”

This award comes on the heels of the firm’s securing a $136,500 grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a prototype, the Prometheus Data Publisher, a Web-enabled database application that allows non-technical users to use entire databases, select tables or columns and easily render any database “browsable.”
